What to know about Dries Van Noten.
Dries Van Noten — the Antwerp couturier known for thirty years of uncompromising textile work — launched his perfume collection in 2022, the year he stepped down from his fashion house. The brief was characteristically clean: eight perfumes, each built around a single dominant material, each commissioned from a different perfumer (Caroline Dumur, Carlos Benaïm, Frank Voelkl, Nicolas Beaulieu and others).
Cannabis Patchouli, Mukhalat, Voodoo Chile and Soie Malaquais are the early breakout references. The bottle — flat oval, hand-blown, in colours chosen from the Dries archive — is among the most beautiful packaging in modern perfumery.
