Jo Malone opened her first London boutique in 1994 with a clean thesis: build perfumes around a single recognisable note — Lime Basil & Mandarin, English Pear & Freesia, Wood Sage & Sea Salt — and encourage customers to layer them. The brand was acquired by Estée Lauder in 1999, and Jo Malone herself left in 2006 to found Jo Loves.
The Jo Malone London house style — fresh, transparent, gift-able — has shaped a generation of luxury fragrance and home scent. Cologne Intense and the Rare Tea Collection extend the catalogue into denser, more characterful territory.
