The Dossier
What to know about Reeh Al Madinah.
Reeh Al Madinah — literally 'the scent of Madinah' — distils the olfactive memory of the Prophet's city: the rose gardens of nearby Ta'if, the oud burned in the Masjid an-Nabawi, the musk anointed on pilgrims, the bakhoor that lingers in every guest house.
The house specialises in concentrated attars and mukhallats — alcohol-free perfume oils blended in the traditional Arabian style. Each bottle is small but uncompromising: a single drop on the wrist projects for an entire day, evolving from sharp Ta'if rose through resinous oud to a long musky close.
For Muslim wearers who prefer alcohol-free perfumery, or for anyone who wants to wear a fragrance with genuine spiritual heritage, Reeh Al Madinah is one of the most respected houses in the Gulf.
