Born in Strasbourg, France, Antoine Lie initially embarked on a scientific path, studying chemistry before redirecting his formidable talents towards olfaction. His foundational training began in Grasse with the esteemed Jean Carles, later refining his craft through an apprenticeship with Jean Guichard. This rigorous education at an early stage paved the way for his distinctive signature.

Throughout his career, Lie has lent his innovative touch to both mainstream and avant-garde perfumery. Notable creations include the iconic Armani Code and Versace Crystal Noir, demonstrating his versatility. His pursuit of unbridled creative expression eventually led him to establish ALOE (Antoine Lie Olfactive Experience) in Paris, a studio dedicated to pioneering fragrance projects and bespoke compositions, reflecting his commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional scent.
