Aurelien Guichard, a distinguished French perfumer, grew up immersed in the fragrant landscapes of Grasse, where his family cultivated flowers for the fragrance industry. This upbringing instilled an early appreciation for scent composition. His formal education commenced at the prestigious Givaudan Perfumery School, after which he embarked on a professional journey within Givaudan. During this period, he lent his talents to crafting distinctive scents for various international labels, including Bond No. 9, Davidoff, and Robert Piguet.

03 · Practice

Today, as a senior perfumer at Takasago, Guichard upholds a generations-long family tradition. He views fragrance creation as an intimate endeavour, believing that the finest perfumes arise from meticulous observation, nuanced sensitivity, and an open, generous spirit. His recent work for brands such as Maison JUS continues to demonstrate his masterful touch, often integrating narratives and emotions into his compositions. Beyond his esteemed career, he also oversees the family’s rose cultivation in Grasse, thereby preserving a significant ancestral heritage.
