Olivier Pescheux

Olivier Pescheux, a French perfumer, dedicated his career to the art of scent composition before his untimely death in 2023 at the age of 57. His initial interest in fragrance led him to formal training at ISIPCA, a distinguished institution known for nurturing perfumery talent. This foundational education equipped him for a global career, beginning in Bangkok with Payan Bertrand in 1990, followed by a period at Annick Goutal in Paris, and then Kao Corporation in 1993. His professional journey culminated at Givaudan, where he became a Master Perfumer.

03 · Practice

At Givaudan, Pescheux crafted an extensive portfolio of well-known fragrances for leading houses such as Dior, Montblanc, and Paco Rabanne. His notable creations include Paco Rabanne 1 Million, Montblanc Explorer, and Versace Eros Flame, among others. He was recognised for his judicious blend of traditional methods with an innovative outlook, skillfully transforming raw materials into sophisticated compositions that delighted a wide audience.
