The Dossier
What to know about Amber.
Amber is not a single material but an accord — a quiet pact between labdanum resin (scraped from the leaves of the cistus rockrose), benzoin from Laos and Sumatra, vanilla, and warm balsams from Peru and Tolu. It glows. It clings. It rounds every other note off at the edges.
Worn alone, amber reads as the inside of a leather jacket, the last hour of a winter dinner, the lining of an old book. It is the note that turns a fragrance into a memory rather than a moment.
