What to know about Aquatic.
The aquatic family was born from a single molecule — Calone, synthesised in 1966 and largely ignored until L'Eau d'Issey (1992) and Cool Water (1988) built entire perfumes around its 'sea breeze, fresh oyster, ocean spray' character. The 1990s ran on aquatics; modern aquatics dial back the Calone and add salt, seaweed and ambergris for sophistication.
